Looking for a tuner in AZ

I recently installed my GT35/40r turbo from A-spec. My car has the rotary extreme extreme fuel system with 1680cc secondaries, stock primaries and an SARD FPR. I have a power FC with an Innovate Wideband and XD1 gauge. The engine is a street port, recently rebuilt by PureSports in Ramona (2000 miles on rebuild).

I need to find someone to tune the beast for me. I dont have a dataloggit so I can't really do it myself. Trevor on these boards has offered to help, but he is out of Tucson and I dont want to drive that far without some kind of tune on the car.

Is there anyone in the Phoenix area with experience in tuning a rotary, a single turbo rotary? Does anyone on these boards have a recommendation?

Power FC - you're SOL bro.

Trevor can do it.. I'd take the drive out there. His rates are fair, and he does a good job. Him and his buds did a lot of work on my car, I can vouche for them.

Nobody does power excel in Arizona... there is a shop in Scottsdale.. but I never tried them. They are popular with the EVO guys, but the tuner knows how to do power FC. I forget the name of the shop.. but I know they are in Scottsdale.

Might want to hold off until Steve Kan gets in town.. or go to Trevor. He made 420hp on my old setup, adn he made 560+ hp on Matt's car.

You should be fine driving your car out to tucson, just keep it under 3000rpm and don't get on the gas at all. You'd have to putt-putt your way there. But he can hook you up after that.

Was it Dynocomp in Scottsdale? I know Rich, the owner, of that place. He does excellent work on Scoobies...I wasn't sure if he knew his way around the PFC. I went to his shop a couple of times and it is beautiful. He claimed he could tune it, but with all this work and money I have put into the car I wanted someone who REALLY knew the PFC.

I will probably just drive down to Trevor. His rates are definately fair.

If my car is tuned by the 17th I will join you at the Pavillions...if not...I am affraid I could only come in my 325i

Dynocomp sounds familiar....

If you don't get the chance to get down there.. when I am in AZ I can stop by and give you a base map for your timing.... It'll be safe to drive around, but I wouldn't boost it. I'd richen it up and adjust the injector lag so it would run stupid rich. That way you can get to wherever safely and do some more break in.

But Trevor is a good idea.

I can vouch for Trevor too. Trevor, Ryan, and Jrat are great guys. I'll be going down there soon also to get my Haltech tuned from Trevor.

I will PM you my contact info and you can give me a call when you get in town. It would be good to get a decent base map for the single turbo installed on the PFC. It would also cut down on the time it takes to fine tune

Yeah,

Lets see.. Trevor tuned my stock port S4 to a 1/4 mile time of 12.01 at 123 MPH while spinning drag radials. He has my vote..
