woo hoo... hopefully only a few weeks away... hey ben, are you gonna tune mine on the dyno in vegas or when you do the session. i would love to see it being dynod but also know that if you tune it in vegas it will be easier to fix issues if they so happen during the tune. know what i mean. so whatever is safest and easiest is what i want, you know?

I've found a shop that should be able to accommodate this. I already talked to the dyno operator and he's game for sticking around for a 3-day deal. Other good points:
-- plenty of space for cars and loading/unloading trailer queens
-- recent Dynojet installation with up-to-date software
-- clean signal: easy to find flat spots and AFR spikes. Differences of 1-2 HP on successive runs are discernible and reproducible! (tested some NGK racing plugs)
-- has preset for rotary ignition (didn't have to mess around with RPM scaling)
-- O2 tailpipe AFR signal closely matched my Zeitronix output

If you have some dates in mind, let me know and we can make it happen!

Sounds awesome which shop is this? Or if you can't say, PM me, just curious.

thanks for checking for other facilities Mike, i know Brian would like us to come back to mcguiness but i don't want to run into the same issues so i will set that aside for a time when i know the dyno can filter down the figures to be closer to accurate(as it helps diagnose issues). i prefer to give business to rotary guys as Brian used to own an FD and only had to sell it for personal reasons.

any place is fine with me so long as the owners/workers are helpful and it is setup to handle the amount of cars we expect.

another delay

a rebuild customer broke the rear iron on his FD while installing the oil pressure sending unit on the newly rebuilt engine which will set me back about another week on my current schedule. why can't things go right on things i'm not even working on then get to fix the aftermath of the tornado...

I remember you. Met up in Vallejo by Marine World. But yeah I'm not organizing this. I don't have my 7 anymore and don't have time. Karack should chime in whenever hes caught up at his shop in Vegas.

Do you need more time off?
Not as many days on the schedule?

bahahaha shut up. Naw I love working 4 days a week. Wish I could get Wednesday back too, but school fucked that up. I just don't have time to organize a dyno day that I'm not gonna be taking part in.

will start organizing it in the next few days, first FD left today the other with the busted rear iron from the oil sending unit will be done sunday or monday then i will be working on nicks FC for about a week or so. that is all i have scheduled in the shop before i take this trip.

dates will be announced once i figure out which weekend is definite and then begin taking deposits for the spots and talk to Michal to be sure the facility will be able to accomodate the dates. it will be a rather short signup period but it looks like that shouldn't be too much of a problem. if anyone has any engines and need them rebuilt let me know, as i can pick them up on the trip(or have friends looking for a rebuild shop). the tuning days will be on friday through sunday, if sunday is even necessary.

I'm still in for this.

Jon might need a rebuild done on his White FD but I'm not sure if he's actually willing to pull the engine himself. I'll ask him and see what he says.
