Do they know you have the wheels? If so have you had them valued for insurance purposes?
In my experience as far as the adjuster is concerned wheels are wheels. He isn't going to give a crap if you spent a couple grand on some Volks or if you have stock wheels. If however you had them valued as an upgrade to the vehicle you should recoup at least some of that cost.

No, value would be unaffected. However, he WILL take pictures of the damage area, so anything exposed in that area for the camera to see will become record. It will take a week or two before they come back to you with an extimate, so will be just sitting on your driveway until then.
So, either swap out or cover up what after market things in the damage area. Then swap out what ever after he leaves and before you settle.
I think I'm gonna try to strip everything out and let them total it out without the need the buy the car back. Now I gotta head to the junkyard and find myself some five lug wheels that's gonna have a funky looking offset.
