Does anybody here know how to 'Jailbreak' a 1st gen iphone? or show me the way to whom that can. It was orginally ATT than jail break to T-mobile, but i want to use it back again for ATT with 3g. Help me out i know someone here has info for me.

 

You can't use a 1st gen with 3g. 1st gen has no 3g built in.

What stuff? The only way to get 3g is to have a 3g iphone. Idk if that's what you meant. The 1st gen has a better battery and the metal back is better imo.

 

it really all depends on what firmware you are running on your I phone.
i can do really any mod to the iphone send me a pm. i have jail broken every firmware even the new 2.2.1 also i have all the firmware dl's so i can install any firmware on the iphone

"IF" you have a 1st gen iphone running old software www.ibrickr.com is a great proggram to help. i have a 1st gen iphone running faster edge because the proggrams think they are 3G. its really not a 3g iphone even tho people say they are.

 

btw. i could jailbreak your iphone if it was plugged into your cpu sitting at my house =)
with only a few downloads.

I could give you some feedback based on my iphone

The 3G is VERY fast for a phone! yes, you can jailbrake it! I did, what you do is download INSTALLOUS on it and you can get just about any app imaginable for free! also get this app that allows you to text via email,(you must have internet for this to work) and put your texting down to 200, this will help you save 15 dollars as apposed to unlimited, I suggest getting the iphone on a family plan because with alot of minutes it can be costy.
Let me explain how the email txting works, you use the app and it automatically sets the adress to send your text too, and when people reply to that text it emails you, so its free texting, but if out of nowhere some1 texts you randomly, its going to count as a NORMAL text so fees apply, thats why i suggested getting 200 messages as a just in case!

RX7 allnight, all the apps that use that unlimited text bullshit arent REALLY 100% unlimited and free,

if one random day your friend texts you, its going to charge you as a NORMAL text, the OTHER way of free texting is through AIM, wich only works if they text u back with the text u sent them... If they dont reply to that text and randomly txt ur number you will be charged.

thats why i say get the 200 as a just-in-case its only 5 bucks!

but im lucky... my dad has alot of minutes, 1400,>.>, wich he pays for and i only give him 35$ a month for my data&200 txts. iphone <3

 

damn...so getting unlimited everything isn't a good idea? I txt like 2000 msgs+ a month sometimes...

I was planning to get a iphone too since it's sooo cheap now haha....100 for the 8gig and 150 for the 16 gig white or black

its a designer phone, made for those who want to appear to be cool and in the "now". And they rape you with outlandish monthly fee's.

my G1 cost $78 a month for unlimited everything (well, 600 minutes, unlim nights & weekends) but since i dont use more than 200 minutes in a month...

and i love the phone.

But then again, i'm 100% not an apple supporter. I hate their products! PC's > Macs IMO.

look up Quickpwn, its simple, follow the directions, install Cydia, have fun, takes 5 mins, done it will all my firmwares on my 1g
