i need to vent stupid CHP

ok i'm just here to vent off some anger...

so i was on i580 yesterday minding my own business in the 3nd lane going the flow of traffic (roughly 70-75 mph) with cars to my in the 1st and 2nd lanes going much fast than me (80-85 mph). i'm about to exit and i looked in my driver side mirror and there's a chp there and he gets behind me and flips on his lights. i pull over and he asks if i know how fast i was going and i tell him my speedo said 70-72, then he said have you had it calibrated recently cuz i was going between 75-80, so i say i don't know i just had it serviced, then like a complete jackass he says in a sarcastic voice

"serviced is not calibrated" and walks back to his car

so he's writing up the ticket and walks to the front, comes back and asks me where my front plate is. i told him its at home because i have no where to put it on the front. and the ******* gives me another sarcastic gesture

"take it to mazda they'll put one on for you"

now he walks to the back of my car comes back, now guess what i'm getting writting up for... THE ******** SAYS MY TAILLIGHTS ARE SMOKED!!! i told him those are stock and thats how they are. and like the moron *** he is he's going to say

"those arn't stock those are aftermarket i know aftermarket when i see them"

to make a long story short i'm just angry and fustrated because now i have to waste a work day and miss a day of work to goto court to tell the judge how incompetent this cop and to get out of this ticket... sigh

sorry for wasting everyone's time that read this thread

bahaha, don't feel bad. I had a cop say that my papers for my exhaust, (I got them tested, 91 dBs), were worthless, because I could've put my stock exhaust back on when I got it tested. WHAT KIND OF STOCK EXHAUST PRODUCES 91 dBs?!?!

First off. You should have never admitted to going anything other than the speed limit, or at the very least, "A safe an reasonable speed". Second, you do not have to go to court for the ticket. You can fight it by mail with a trial by proxy.

Check out http://www.ticketassassin.com/

You will get all the details on how to fight the ticket without having to go to court.

I didn't say to lie, I merely said not to admit to anything. When he asked you that question, and you answered, you pretty much sealed your fate on this ticket. Even if you are going 1 MPH over the limit, and admit to it, you have broken the law and admitted guilt. A simple reply of "I am sure I was going a safe and reasonable speed given the current traffic conditions" is not an admission of guilt, merely an answer.

You will need to sign up on the site in order to get his pre-written letters for defense. You will find them beneficial. He does not charge you on the spot, so you can pay him at a later date. Anyways, it is worth it.

Best of luck.

it's probably because they see kids die all the time in stupid street racing accidents, atleast thats probably why they are all cranky towards imports.

i just got a ticket making a right turn at a graduation (cal state fullerton) ******* cop got me, while the GUY in front ALSO did the same ******* thing. I also made a left turn into the dirt parking lot and he said i wasn't suppose to. NOW. THERE WAS NO ******* signs saying I cannot do that. ALSO, there's NO OTHER WAY to get into the parking lot unless i made a U-Turn, and make a "right" turn in. Well, if that left turn was illegal, then the right turn is illegal, and everyone in that ******* parking lot should get a ticket.

**** cops. Serve and protect my ***. I hate the court system/justice system where they make you "FEAR" cops in giving you a fine. That's WAY too much power. Sure ******* crackheads and mobsters may fear cops, but us normal citizens shouldn't have to.

I've heard about the tail light ticket before, I would goto court just to make the cop look like a jackass to the judge. Take a mazda factory picture of the tail light, ask the cop if thats the tail light he saw, and then inform the judge that the picture is a factory tail light from mazda.

I'm sorry don't mean to seem like I'm attacking any one. the way the cop treated the germy was wrong, the reason I said what I sad was because I just happened to see what could easily happen if your not careful.

There are street racing related accidents all over here in Sacramento. What's funny is, I'd say almost all of the street racing accidents in Sacramento there was a freakin' mustang involved. (IE, laguna two mustangs in two seperate accidents both drivers killed, the mustang and the CRX racing which led to the mustang driver crashing into a tree). Of course, there were the two lexuses racing in which one crashed into someone else and they bailed, or the rx7 racing another mazda and running into a car driven by a woman who died.

Best part about almost all these accidents, it's all inexperienced drivers who's mommy and daddy bought them a car too fast for their own good.
