you can take your car anywhere. just bring them the specs you want. there's nothing special about aligning a FD. you even get the specs back after they're done.

I know there is nothing special about aligning most cars. Its the person doing the alignment that matters. Thats why I'm looking for a recommendation for a place that can actually do it right.

If you don't mind driving a bit, The Wheelstore in Oceanside is great. They recently did my alignment and corner-weighted my car with me in it! These guys are long time Mazda racers!

Their prices are pretty good. Corner weighting should run about $150.

I took one of my cars to Wheel Store as above and wasn't impressed with the guy whining about getting the wheel straight. Decent job but couldn't sit in the car and didn't feel like they did the best job.

Took it to Vista Brake and they did a much better job. Let me sit in the car while they aligned it. It was interesting watching the camber change from -.08 to -1 when I sat in the car. Changed on pass side too.

Vista Brake (760) 724-5157 in Vista, CA

Your comment is a bit uncalled for. But since your made it...

My comments weren't completely negative. You did a decent job. Not spectacular and not the kind of quality and attention to detail that you (actually the owner) sold me on when discussing it on the phone. He even did a reasonable job offering to redo the alignment afterwards.

My issues is that you were lazy overall in that you didn't even check the car afterward after your alignment guy came up whining that he was having trouble getting the wheel straight. You were not in the least bit concerned with whether it came out right. Attention to detail overall was lacking and that doesn't win races. Maybe you pay attention to your own cars but you didn't to mine and I'm not going to waste my time going up to you again.

Have you moved back to Florida to open your own shop? I think you can find someone there to take you up on your hand job offer...

Sears 60bux and they align a car the same way everyone else does. They will also change camber/toe if you have the mods.
