try it i herd alot of good things from it. but havn't tried it myself.
but yes pleading guilty is usually the best option the judge will usually cut it by half.

just read the ticketassassin website before doing anything. There's tons of useful information there. I used the info to get out of 2 speeding tickets in a single year. Haven't gotten pulled over since (crossing fingers).

Probably about $140.
First ticket, absolutley go to court and ask for traffic school. You get to go once every 18 mos. The sooner you go, the sooner you burn through your 18 mos. qualification period.
You can usually get it approved at the traffic window. Lines are usually shorter in the afternoon, so take a late lunch to get it done.
If you get a second ticket before 18 mos goes by, absolutley go to court and plead not guilty. The last three times for me the cop didn't show, so automatic dismissal. Additional reason, if you plead not guilty and loose, at least it can't come back and haunt you other than the points you'd get for pleading guilty anyway.
If you plead guilty, it could also come back to haunt you as additional evidence against you should you later get something serious like reckless driving or DUI. Plead not guilty and you loose, courts will usually not allow as evidence in a subsequent case.

I got a speeding ticket going 80mph. Came out to be $117. If you do plan on fighting the ticket. Do it thru (Trial By Declaration). Don't even have to see the judge and your chances are better.

I don't understand the people telling you to just go to traffic school. If you fight it using trial by declaration, you get a second chance to fight it if you lose. If you show up to court after you lost the trial by declaration, and the cop shows, you can ask for traffic school. It's all on the website. It has a lot of information about why cops show up to court and why you're more likely to win using trial by declaration. Do some research before listening to people that don't know all the options you have.

It would definitely be worth your effort to fight it with ticketassassin.com.
I got 3 speeding tickets in 2 months. I wasn't a speed racer or anything, it just seemed that every time I didn't watch my speed and crept up, a cop pulled me over.
My first 2 were dismissed and checks were written to me in the full bail amount. Third one, wasn't so lucky and was found guilty. I sent in a letter demanding a trial de novo (appeal kinda?), and showed up for my court date. The judge immediately offered me traffic school and I took it. I ended up losing the last one, but it was definitely worth a try.

Ticket assassian worked for me. Got pulled over for running a stop sign, followed the directions, and was found not guilty.
for a $25 investment, you will get all the information you need. Worst case you do a trial by novo and go to traffic school..

You don't really need ticketassassin. You could do your own research to find out everything he put on the site, but it's just so convenient. Plus, to get all the info he has, it would take too much effort for me.

sometime it is not only about the penalty or increase in insurance
getting a ticket in your driving record could greatly decrease your chance of getting hire in any governmnet job
the traffic school will prohibit the public like your insurance company to see that you have a point in ur driving record
however, any job which need a background check, your little traffic ticket could become a bar for your employement

Perhaps you have a point on gov't jobs.
But, I worked for the FDIC for 5 years. And my record wasn't exactly stellar prior to that point. Probably had a record equivalent to what Fu's is now.

why are people still asking about lawyers and how to get out of tickets? Multiple people have already suggested checking out ticketassassin. Check there first, people. People recommend it because it works. I swear, the laziness on this board is amazing.
