Here's irony for you... I bought my SA when I was in my 20's and so broke I couldn't afford a 'better' car. My bike was wrecked, had only about a grand in the bank, had to get to/from my low-pay job and my low-end Van Nuys apartment, which were 20 miles apart. Paid $1400 for Spry Beastie. It was faded, upholstery was tore up, but it ran. only had about 70k miles on it.

That was 1989. Now, the SA's one hobby of many, the 350Z's the DD, and the current job pays more in a year than my dad made in 10 when I was a high-school kid, for basically sitting in a chair and banging on a computer, & telling other people what to do.

You stick with it and work as hard as you can, and things do get better. You may stack a lot of boxes (or make a lot of pizza) along the way, but anyone truly willing to work and not too fussy about what job they do now, will make it.

Go back to school.

You could work your way up in a warehouse and make $65K or you can go to school and make the same. You don't need to have a degree to make money, but it definitely helps. There are far more opportunities for people who have degrees.

It has 4 wheels and an ICE, don't see why you couldn't do delivery in one?

I'm fortunate enough to work for a company that will always stay busy no matter what the economy looks like.

I say hang in there. i went through some bad **** myself and it all eventually takes a turn for the best

May I suggest being a School Bus driver? look, you can feel like a real dumba$$s working for a school but it is stress free. and they will help put food on your table. it is part time work so you'll have to be handy and work in between bus hours as a janitor or an aid.

hey, thank me later.

This is a late reply to this thread, but 250,000 people lost their jobs in the month of October in the entire US. That's why it is hard to find a job these days. Take ANYTHING you can get. I have been in the same boat as you, except I have only been out of work for 6 weeks, and I built up a really really nice savings. Plus playing poker makes me alot of money.

And delivering pizza's you can make pretty decent money. It's not amazing, but pretty good for what you are doing, which is pretty much nothing.
