I was hoping an old school car, at least one, would show up. Maybe one of these days, I know those guys are around. And about the Mustangs... you talking about the red ones? They were both previous generation Cobras. They are pretty damn fast stock, doesn't take much to make them even quicker. Only problem is they are pretty heavy as compared to any gen Rx-7. Not sure how reliable the info is here, but looks like the Rx-7 has at least a 7-800 lb weight advantage.

WIKIPEDIA LINK

Just let them fly by and get hassled by the cops instead of us Here's a vid another FD owner posted of him vs. one of those cobras:

Yea those red mustangs were what i was talkin about. i was about 5 cars back when they hit the gas and they were LOUD, but that doesn't always mean fast. I just thought it was funny they gave us this look like- what they hell is that, this is a car- like they were better than us or something

Sorry, but as mentioned previous, I hadn't started the "hangover" phase yet at that point.

Really? they are estimated at 300hp and I would imagine that being at least 250whp. they are not that much heavier than rx7s either not to mention they are AWD.

Once again I don't know the curve I'm just stating peak power.

STIs aren't so beastly after 70. I say that because thats the FD sweet spot, not sure when an STI peaks either.

Yea that was on the freeway. 80 to about 120 pull. i stayed right next to the last generation sti with an exhaust and have beat a new stock one. To me though my car feels slow on the freeway. gears 2-3 are fun, gears 4-5 cruise gears
