Also Intercoolers are accteptable but only for oem turbochargers.

Agreed but why make it easy on him. Under search and seizure laws they need your consent, doesn't mater if it's under your hood or in your car. They can do a "Saftey inspection" and not need your consent but they better do the 100+ point inspection, other wise they are profiling you.

Edit: Again i'm in total agreement with it being more likely to get my car towed.

Yeah, it helps to be like me, flashy engine bays aren't my thing, I like the look of a stock bay. Hell even my custom air filter box I am making is going to involve the stock box cover lol

I'm actually kind of hoping that one will pull me over someday and ask me to pop my hood...
Everything under my hood looks brand new, totally custom (shiny blue anodized, with some parts red and yellow anodized), not a CARB sticker anywhere, and being the age it is it's probably completely incomprehensible to most... and every single piece of it is stock.
Good luck, Mr. officer; go ahead, write that ref ticket. See ya in court.
But then my car is probably too sedate-looking on the outside & quiet to attract their attention. & I'm probably too old.
But I can dream, right?
