Unhappy Got a smog Ref ticket today

Got pulled over about a 1/4 block from Bimmer fest. He pulled me over for no front plate then had me open my hood and raped me with no lube . Anyone got any advice on taking my car in to the ref? Here's an under hood pic.

damn tyler, that definitely sucks.

from what i can see, put the stock intake on and if you have a downpipe, throw the stock one on too. cat backs are ok so long as it's not too loud.

Just pay the fine. You gotta pay to play. It is not going to be easy putting everything back to stock. Especially since you had to custom cut a few things to make the Blitz FMIC to fit. Nice setup btw, very similar to mine. I love that blitz intercooler.

intercooler upgrades are OK as long as they're on OEM equiped turbos

my teachers a stateref... the front mount is fine and since you already have the smog pump i say just go back to stock get rid of that bov and find a stocker and the stock down pipe stock intake you should be good bro... and if you have a boost controller or turbo timer gotta take them out... in that case i say just pay the fine

Yes, you are right. But try putting back the stock intake with the Blitz FMIC blocking it. The only FMIC that will allow your stock intake to fit is the RX7Fashion FMIC, and they've been discontinued for years. Luckily, i was able to find one.

OP, unless if those are the HKS intakes that were once Carb legal and came with a Carb number you should be fine. I could try to find the carb number if you do not have it, but it's not guranteed to work because they usually want the actual sticker and original receipt of purchase. But of course you would have to connect the stock bov and airpump the way it's suppose to be. So it's a 50/50 shot you have of passing, but would you want to take that chance with a state ref?

So either pay the fine, or do your best to put it back to stock.

I would need to put the stock elbo back on since it has the nipple on it for extended warm up crap. This is going to be a lot of work.

How does a turbo timer and a boost controller cause smog issues? The turbo timer is plug and play so i could pull that out but the boost controller right.

Hide the boost controller but set it to stock boost. Auto (Turbo) Timers are also 100% smog legal. Just turn it off when it's getting tested

Those techs should have their licenses revoked they obviously weren't reading their books in CACC Basic class when they were trying to get their smog license
