Got offered $8K for my car as is....
This really made me stop and think for a sec. Now I'm thinking about how serious the guy was and if I would go through with it... he gave me his card and said to call him if I make up my mind soon. No hassle on price and will pay cash.
I've only owned the car for just over a year and I've put more than that but we never get back what we spend. maybe a good time to invest in my dream FD or something else....???
What would you do....

Not to mention just last week that cop told you your car screams "pull me over". Kind of a compliment and critique at the same time.
Sounds like a good time to come over to the Vert side of the world.

I voted keep it. Reasons:
-8k is a good offer but you really have a top shelf build going and I'm not sure I'd trade that in just to start over and build a mid-grade FD.
-You're sponsered in the FC (don't know the terms but still damn cool). Not sure that would hold up in the FD.
-Your present car shouldn't lose a heck of a lot of value so you're free to build the FD latter when your budget restraints are less and/or you can finish the FD build while still driving the FC.
-All you need now is a bit of engine sorting and you're ready to go ripping around a track, you delay doing that by a long time if you start an FD from scratch.
-FD maintenance/fender bender expenses are MUCH higher than an FC so FC's are inherently better cars to learn driving skills with (drag, track, drift, you name it).
-Your present FC is a hell of a lot more of a "looker" than a basic FD would be...
Don't get me wrong I still lust after FD's too, but I'm glad I made the choice to "downgrade". It's just a hell of a lot more fun to have a car you don't have to think about and don't mind abusing a bit. I could never do that when I owned an FD...

Oh Joel you really have put a dent in the FD thought haha
Dammit you're right about 90% fo what you just posted...
FDs are not that cool stock thats true and to start another paint thread for a FD would be killer on the wallet hahaha

That FC is so DOPE! But if your kinda over it...then your over it. Plus it did get broken into, that would def. be a reason for me getting rid of it. Whatever you do i'm sure it'll be dope keep it up.

Joels points are very good, especialy regarding the fender bender maintenance. Adds to the wisdom of not spending the money for comp and collision insurance coverage for a 2nd Gen as that additional cost is probably more than what your out of pocket for repairs would be in most cases.

Didn't you just tell me last month you spent 11k building up the FC? I wouldn't do it so soon right after building it... maybe in a few years or when the market is better. not to mention your winning shows, your sponsored, and going on TV with the car. I say try to milk the FC as much as possible.
