I entered a drift day that they had there and it was pretty bad. Lots of bumpbs and uneven pavement. Also a lot of sand. You said it best its like a rally event.

Wow.... crappy horse race parking lot with problems, burn up a few hundred dollars worth of tires... and then win $250 and a trophy. :O

Would Candlestick Parking lot be better?

gnx7, no, candlestick is pretty bad, however, oakland colliseum (sp?) would be a improvement over both, and i heard it got repaved at some point too...

I just came back from the event, I was there for 12 hours . We had to stay for the whole event because my friend entered his car in the car show and they wouldn't let you leave if you entered untill the end of the event. My friend came in second place in the Toyota category for the car show. It was the 85 Toyota Corolla that looked just like Takumis from Initial D. It was cool when team Falken was drifing but you can only watch amatures spin out so many times. There were about 5 FCs, one had a V8 swap. Oh yeah, Big C from Whip Set was there, we had some great laughs mocking him .

I took 3rd in my car. Pretty happy considered I never drifted it after the motor was in. PS pressure was too hi so I had to play safe on the transition on the second turn thus had some points deduction from the judges. But I would have been happy with top 12 already so 3rd place was a surprise.
