Engine keeps flooding

Well im in big trouble here, everytime i turn my car off it floods itself. when i get gas turn the car off and try to turn it back on it wont start unless i pull the egi fuse. same goes for school. any solutions for this? i recently changed my fuel filter, spark plugs and oil if that has to do with anything. Help please this is becoming such a hassle i hate deflooding every god dam time so embarassing

Its embarrassing? I feel like a super cool mechanic everytime I have to pop my hood and pull the fuse to start the car. You probably should have posted this in the FC tech section.

Add a fuel cut switch. Defloods the engine and acts as an anti-theft device!

Marck,

You can try bringing the engine to 3k rpm, letting off the gas, then turn off the ignition while it's winding down and see if that reduces the flooding occurrences. However if the engine floods that often, it's your car trying to tell you something needs to get fixed.

Sticky fuel injector? Try some fuel-system cleaner.

Wish it was that simple on mine. Mine floods after shutdown... and it's carbed, so that should be impossible, with no vacuum to move fuel!

Yeah Do what Howru it doubles up as a kill switch =D

if you was an s5 i would have said....
hold gas peddle down for 4 to 5 sec crank then let go afterward then crank again always worked for me when before I had my rebuild.

im having the same prob. im a change out my fuel injectors. i hope that will work. hopefully get some power back too.

i got a fuel cut switch for my flooding and it seems to work out fine....as long as i hit it whenever i park somewhere
