Can anyone shorten a 5 speed trans?

I have heard that you can shorten a 5 speed to fit older cars. Does anyone know of a person or shop in Los Angeles who does this? thanks for looking.

your kidding right? How would you expect to shorten a tranny? Shortening the drive shaft is a more common practice.

Yes, it can be done. Not that hard either. Wacky's buddy, or Wacky will be able to help you out. If not, drop me a pm, and I can show you how to do it.
