CA Smog... Tips & Tricks???

Im going to be smogging my car on the weekend.
Is there any tips or tricks that i could use to pass easier without hurting my engine.

Info about the car that might be important to know:
1991 n/a body
j-spec s5 engine
cs downpipe
bonez high flow cat
stock Y-pipe and mufflers
turbo xs bov
hks intake
air pump intact
air splitter pipe hooked on

anything i should know or do b4 the smog test?
visual should not be too big of a problem, more worried about the sniffer...

thanks

if everything was working properly, there shouldn't be a reason you'd fail the sniffer.

Is He Smogging It Knowing U Did A Turbo Convertion? If Not U May Fail Right Away. Its A Legal Swap As Long As A Referee Has Seen It And Aproved It, If Not Worried About Any Of That, Then As Long As U Have Good Cats, And U Run Good, Dont Worry, New Plugs, Premium Gas & Do An Oil Change, Those Will All Make A Good Difference. The Tii Motors Run Cleaner Stock Than The Na.

premium gas is not worth it unless boost is turned up. Dont bother. If it is close or your worried you came hook up the split air tube directly to the airpump and the cat. That way the pump is always feeding the cat with fresh air. You will pass with ease as long as the cat is ok.

I've done plenty of smogs where the car fails high for Nox and I telll them to go fill up with premium and they come back and the car passes. Premium gas does help and does make a difference

NOx is one place where the rotary should never fail unless the motor is overheating into thermal meltdown mode.... the engine already has a fair amount of exhaust gas recirculation due to it's design.

being a smog tech you should already have known this,

Search electric air pump from a Camaro/Corvette on the forum or route the air pump line directly to the splitter pipe. I would only use that as a last option though.

It "should" pass as long as its got a full tuneup, and while driving it on a the highway for a little bit to heat up the cats before you pull into the smog station.
