well since it so close to me coming out there anyways, instead of you taking the time to resend the package, why dont you just hold on to it and we will hook up friday when i get in town before whiv gets started, as i know post office visits can be well.....not fun sometimes. This way we can maybe get some beers and shoot the **** for a bit. Let me know how that sounds

You know honestly, you are being a little bitch about it. my car has been at his shop getting over $1,000 worth of stuff done to it and just got almost $4k done to it by him last summer. my car has been there for over 3 months and it sucks. i hella want my car back and want him to finish but i am patient cause i know he does great work, but you have to wait 3 little weeks to get some pieces hand made custom for your car, which cars and projects like mine get thrown on the back burner because you are crying about your little $100 job has taken 3 weeks... boo ******* hoo... maybe if you wouldnt be such a little girl about it other people might get the real important stuff done to their cars.... for christ sake, get over it....

i keep going back and forth thinking about hiring help but when i had Rusty helping me it usually wound up a wash anyways after the broken electrical connectors or questions being asked about how i wanted something done. he was a hard worker but sloppy work on these cars always results in something breaking and me spending several hours fixing it correctly. if there was more than just me doing things it wouldn't take so long, but i'm hesitant to even have someone come in and help pull out motors or tear them down, breaking things and making me pull my hair out anyways.
even when i had him cleaning engine parts i would wind up going over them again to clean them up thoroughly because they didn't meet my standard. it all helped some but not as much as i had hoped.

if thats how you want it, you bring your *** up north
i was simply saying to quit crying over three weeks for a custom part that was put ahead of many jobs in front of yours. but if thats how you handle things then i will be waiting...

alright knock it off, it's been worked out. moral of the story is i will try not to make promises i can't keep, which i try to be vague about when to expect things to be completed as i had 3 sets of FTPs come in in a short period so i was working on all of them at the same time. being just one set in wouldn't have been such an issue.
i understand cosmo's frustruation though being that this car has been down for over half a decade(not that i've had it that long, heh) and is still having issues that need to be resolved seeing these little jobs worked in front of getting his car done.
with anything rotary related it just requires patience as there just simply isn't many of us around who do work on these cars so we tend to get overloaded quickly, especially around this time of the year. when i originally designed the FTPs it was mid winter and i had little to nothing to do with almost 0 income, now i have the summer jobs all coming in at the same time which is where i have to prioritize everything.
anyways Nick, just think of the BRAP BRAP BRAP BRAAAAAAAAAP! that might cheer you up.

Man this sucks. I'm trying to save for my T2 rebuild and I hear that Ben/Karack is closing up shop? Honestly, I hope this boils down. In this world, we need good honest rotary mechanics. I would rather wait 3 months to have my car 24 year old car built by some honest who knows what he's doing. If you decide to close up shop for good Ben, good luck! If you, ever come back up to Norcal or decide to take anymore business please let us know on the forums.

yes, eventually. the timing really depends on when work slows down to the point of it being non-profit which is usually around winter time. but who knows, maybe the 8's will start coming around once they realize that they can get maintenance and repairs done for half the price of the dealer with better results.
i simply am saying it now so that people are prepared instead of wondering where i went or why. at this time i have plenty of work but am not/have not been happy in some time.
on the bright side, i did wash my car today for the first time in 8 months.

ill vouch for karack/ben. ive met people who would put their necks out for him. and seeing the quality of his work i would too. and i understand that it takes time but when you have to manage everything at once like he does delays will happen. give it some time. it isnt something you can rush. understand hes a perfectionist . would you want someone else working on your parts /engine/ car?
