Met a lot of people. Caravan was awesome from N.Cali. Lots and lots of rx7's, and 8's. We got split up a few times, but we had so many cars we didn't know who was missing Pre Santa Clarita stop was nice. It was great meeting all of you, thanks to the Rx-8's who came out, a bad *** sounding LS1, (you will never hear a FD sound like this as it fly's by you) and to all the sweet fd's. Most of the Fc's had conversions, or did you guys swap hoods? I didn’t notice till we stopped and I saw all the good stuff under the hood Dave let us know what your wide body dynoed at? And we finally had an FB with us. Maybe next time we will have 2 or 3. Was a great trip!

First 3 pages are all of the Caravan and the first like 8 on the 4th page. Caravan was awesome, only wish i drove my own car instead of riding with my friend.

Well I came close to popping my motor.
During Sunday's dyno tuning with Steve Kan, my wastegate got stuck closed and the engine overboosted to 28 psi according to the Haltech datalog. We were running 91 octane and were certain there was a mistake with the Haltech so we then checked the Profec B which read 29.4 lbs.
I have ceramic apex seals and an Aquamist system that runs 66% Methanol and 33% water. I'm sure the two of those saved me from another engine build.
Never did get the wastegate problem sorted though.
fwiw, the car made 397rwhp and 392rwtq at around 5300rpm before Steve let off. He has the dyno chart.

The caravan was fun and is one of the best parts of Sevenstock. It was good to actually make it again after not being able to last year.

Omar, thanks for the dvd

So more tunning is in order. Sounds like its on its way to making a whole lot of power. To- to much power. Let me know when you hit the track, maybe I can keep up. But those fat wheels, maybe I can't...haha.

Nice pics FireTora, I stole a few.

Are you trying to blow your current engine so you can finally get that monster 3 rotor in there?

Poor dana, lost her sunglasses while trying to videotape the caravan!

Dave:

Your widebody kit is turning out great, your vert sure has changed alot in 4 years!!! Time to get that underbelly pan on, so no heat problems!!!

28 psi!!!! Simmer down now!! ;-)

I have to agree, the caravan is one of the most fun parts of sevenstock. Glad to meet everyone!!

Thanks, I'll let you know if I see a pic that i would want in higher res.

The caravan is definitely fun. I look forward to it every year. We didn't have to much time to hang out and meet everyone this year like we have in the past, we where running a tad late. Still a lot of fun. The Caravan, Hilton, Go-carts, and then sevenstock makes for a great weekend.

Meiogirl: whats so funny about that X?

I was there with David when it happened and it wasn't fun. everyone jumped from their seats as the engine screamed under extreme overboost and the lot got coverd with smoke. I was two seconds away to get it on tape, darn.
I wish you best of luck dude.

afterwards I got on the dyno and could not boost over 13.5 psi due to turbo issues. still got tuned and
made 340whp @ 13.5

Caravan was fun. maybe next time we can stick together as one caravan, it wasn't fun to wonder around down 156. an FD and FC, our own mini caravan. lol
