Question How much does my engine cost?

i will be starting my LS1 swap in a bit, so my rotary drivetrain has to go soon.

What do you guys think my 1994 automatic drivetrain is worth? The car has 76,000 miles. I've driven the car about 1,500 miles and have not encountered any problems with it. Starts perfect, no smoke, does not consume oil, idles normal with cold ac, runs perfect basically.

The shortblock has less than 11,000 miles
The turbos were replaced with brand new units not rebuilt at the same time.

I have all the receipts for the job. The turbos alone cost the previous owner a little over 3 grand. The total job cost him a close to 7,500. All the work was done at Jeff Haas Mazda in Houston.

What is a reasonable price?

Off them seperately, you'll usually make more.

Turbos - good condition will go for $300-500 on the forum IF you're lucky.

Engine - with 11k - you can probably sell that for $2000

Tranny - not sure on this.

You can probably see half of what he paid.. maybe a total of $3500-4000 at most for what was paid in work.

Just my $.02

I dont' plan on parting them out; I plan on selling as a whole pullout.

If I got 3,500 that would be better than great. haha
For that price I would probably include every little thing the buyer wants, just as long as I don't need it for the LS1 swap

Might be a good idea if you find someone that has a chassis and wants to build one. Thats not a bad price for engine/turbos/tranny/diff

Here is a link to a similar set up on ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-1...spagenameZWDVW

About 2200 for everything, and that includes an Manual tranny.

Your automatic tranny is not really worth much, but the rest of the setup should get you somewhere around 2K.
