I just got a call from a contact of mine at Puente Hills Mazda. On Sunday, April 1st (I know, I know) they are hosting a Japanese Car Meet in the empty lot next to their dealership. Obviously they are looking for as much MAZDA representation as possible. I'm sure the Hyundai dealership on the other side of the lot is getting this word out to their community as well.

Still in the preliminary stages of planning, but expecting to go from 8AM to around 1PM. Think of it as a MazFest like event without the track events.

I know nothing more, honest. So please don't ask. I just wanted to get this out there so all you So Cal wankelheads (or anyone from further out that would make the drive) can consider putting on your calender.

When they formalize it all on their web site, I'll post a link.

As reference, Puente Hills Mazda is THE local dealership hook up for factory parts. Key contact in that regard is Marco.

Best you make that call yourself. But I don't think every car needs to be beauty pagent ready. As I remember when I was in college, there were not so pretty girls as well as pretty girls at the parties. This is just a Japanese Import party with perhaps a sub-component of car show.

And like any party, the more the merrier.

Yeah and the dealer is going to announce the fall 2012 release of the Rx-9 with the 16x motor and optional roots supercharger. Gets 35MPG too!

 

I think I'll drive the wife's Buick by, just to be contrary.

 

A local buddy has expressed interest in getting a few of the local FD owners on a drive that same day, I will talk to him and perhaps we can make the meet part of our drive/cruise.

 

FD's in that area? Good luck man, be careful with the popo's..they aren't nice there.
