is it possible to get a california ref ticket even if your car is registered out of state?

no you don't. you can just pay off the ref ticket without going through the inspection. i did it for my last ref ticket. there was no way my car was going to pass the ref so i just paid it.

No you can't but you can get fined for having out of state plates, and failing to register it, I don't know what happens if you do that repeatedly... but Cali can't dictate what other state's laws are... They can fine you for complying with their laws of 10 days or so to register a vehicle...

If you're going to have NV Plates, make sure you either don't carry a California License, or Carry Both, NV and CA, and make sure you know which one to hand the cop in a bar, and which one to carry on the road, and if the same cop catches you 2x within a month, you're screwed

And rehearse you story that you're a contractor in town for a couple of days, otherwise if you slip up, and tell 'em you've lived here for 6 mo. you're done...

i live in torrance now but i used to live in Long Beach. in my case, when i paid the ref ticket, i didn't need to go through inspection. i got like 3 or 4 of those so far.

i'm rockin' the old school RB silencer. if you listen to my car at jaime's meets, it's most likely the most quietest car out there.

You mean the RB power pulse pre silencer? my black FB has it, and it's loud as hell, then again I have a RB road race header + apexi N1.

I had a RB presilencer and it muffled possibly a little better than my two high flow cats, but marginally so. Like R-cien, I had headers and a loud catback though.

like this but the black can. and i don't know if the picture does justice, but i feel like it's a bit wider too.

then again, my DP is 2.5", silencer is 3", then 2.75" y-pipe, then 2.5" to the mufflers? lol these exhausts are pretty quiet for turbo cars.

w00t for old school RB's.

Nah I got this one

The Power Pulse Presilencer improves the character of the exhaust noise, dramatically reducing the inherent, obnoxious metallic high frequency noise with virtually no power loss. Constructed with a high temperature, 2-inch I.D. perforated core of 304 stainless steel wrapped with high-temperature stainless steel wool, the Power Pulse Presilencer measures 20 inches in length with a 4-inch outside diameter. The mounting hanger (if provided) has been designed to mount this presilencer to the specific application listed above. The mounting studs are 10mm both front and rear.

presilencer, silencer, whatever it is, it definitely drops the decibel level of the exhaust sounds. so cops over here think i'm stockzorz. can't complain, haven't been pulled over for the obnoxious deafening sound level. :knocks on wood:

I haven't gotten pulled over for any exhaust related issues, but I'm white, and my car sounds like a camaro.... FTW
Sometimes you just have to work with what you have... (advantage / disadvantage wise).... I can't open a Casino, and I can't get a Minority Business Loan... yet I wasn't born in this country...
