Anyone in So-Cal 'Catless'?
Trying to get feedback from so-cal locals who are catless. I live in Los Angeles County (Whittier). With all the traffic here, and with cops being so dam ****, is it worth going catless? I've read A LOT of threads and have a general idea, but want local input.
Lets hear some stories;D
p.s: i drive a 91' NA FC

there's a fix it ticket and a smog ref ticket. a fix it ticket means you have to replace whatever part you got a ticket for with a working stock one. you go to the chp and they'll sign it off. after that, the fee is usually like 10 bucks. then there's the smog ref ticket. if the cop is a dick and wants to really hurt you, he will give you one of these and stamp it on your ticket. you have to go to a smog ref which is usually at a junior college auto dept. he checks EVERYTHING. if one thing looks out of the ordinary, he won't pass you. then you have to take a smog test and if it doesn't pass you have to come back again. the smog ref charges a fee for the inspection which i forgot how much but i think it's like 60 bucks. if you pass the smog ref then he checks you off and you pay a court fee of like 10-20 bucks. you can also choose to just skip the smog ref and pay the ticket. the price for this is like 250 bucks for the first time and it double for every smog ref ticket you get after that.
