anyone ever have this coolant problem?
so i just swapped in my third engine only to have it over-heat like every other motor i have swapped into it. i figure it's the coolant seals but all three motors have done the EXACT same thing, here it is.
10 or so minutes after start up coolant begins to open the radiator cap and flow into the over flow bottle, some motors flowing more then others. basically your common coolant seals problems as i have come to find out. but here is the weird thing, the coolant temp gauge, which works perfectly, doesn't begin to show any over-heating signs til after the motor is almost completely out of coolant. i know this cause i drove it for awhile and eventually it blew the top off of the over flow bottle from all the pressure but the gauge continued to read normal until it was almost empty ie coolant all over the place. and the other mystery is that in all 3 engines not a puff of white smoke comes out. not when it's almost completely over-heated or on start up with a full amount of radiator fluid. i could understand 1 motor doing that and maybe even 2 but 3 motor acting exactly the same way, what gives? i've replaced the thermostat, radiator cap, hoses, and the radiator itself. still the same problem. if it's the coolant seals then why do i not get the white smoke generally common with this problem? i also replced the pump but that had no affect on it? please, any help here would be GREATFULLY appreciated, i had to leave my 7 back in oregon becasue it couldn't make the trip here without stopping every thirty minutes to let it cool and add more coolant

you guys are fucked.........first thing you do is make a list of ALL the cooling system parts that you are reusing and test them. You can test damn near everything on the car fairly easy.Fan clutch and RAD would be my first tests even if they are new. . Maybe the RAD is defective.
is there a OEM thermostat in it?? & is it working correctley ..Sorry I have to ask as I had a guy install the thermostat upside down and he could not figure out why the car woud overheat...

what's up with all the dick comments some of you left? wacyracer, goofyrotor, teddyrx2, rotary13b1, repuzentn, acidangel7477. i thought this was a RX7 forum where we help each other out and only screw with people when they ask really dumb questions, like asking if they need to replace their head gasket or piston rings or some dumb **** like that. not when someone is coming with a legit question or concern like mine. i treat this forum with respect because i know there is a lot of knowledge to be learned if you ask the right questions. and i know that for the most part people on here feel the same way. so we help each other out because of our common love of all things rotary. but people like you ruin it for us REAL people who aren't dicks. thanks.
socalrotor, Karack, and Atkins dan thank you for your input and all you others thanks for wasting mine and your time but next time waste yours and not mine somewhere else like on the gay man-love forums i'm sure you all surf late at night while jerking off your best friend. peace

Could have also done a search on the forum because this has been covered countless times, and there is also a 2nd gen section to help out as well.
He has already mentioned that he replaced the radiator and the cap
