my thoughts exactly. i may as well pull the whole turbine and compressor and have it rebalanced just for the hell of it....it's only a few extra bucks and a good way to increase longevity.

i was having a spoolup problem. it should have been a lot smoother than that. i'll fix it and turn up the boost. i can't wait to see what this thing does @ 16-18 psi!!!

Wow. That's just scary. I know I'd hurt myself with that much power.

When you left and we could all hear your car clearly, I was thinking "damn his motor revs up quick once the turbo spools." How much of that is due to wheelspin?

just a bit of wheel spin in first when the turbo spooled....i only had it half-throttle in second-as flying off the side of the mountain was not on the agenda for me

$3-400 in fuel system stuff from now and i should be able to make 440-450 whp. my fuel pump is just tapped out right now.

that is crazy guitar!!! well, you were right on with what you told me....... around 400 hp! but that was low boost!! that thing is gonna be a monster with 4-6 more lbs of boost! figure around 40-60 more hp??? am i correct....... 1 lb. of boost is relatively equal to 10 hp!

yeah, you'll have to scrap that walbro, i mean, its a great pump for a minor modded rotary, but not an insanly modded one!

actually, i think i'll keep the warlboro feeding the primary rail, then use the stock return line as a feed for the secondary rail with a seperate fuel pump. that way, i won't get that fuel pressure drop when i go into boost and will allow me to safely lean it out a bit in that area.

sounds like a good plan. just hope that the return lines are big enough to keep up. you might have to replace the lines with larger ones. (i am pretty sure i remember the return lines are much smaller when i turned mine into a drag car. but i could be wrong)

2 5/16ths? that's plenty. one is good for at least 450 rwhp.
i'll probably use a 3/8ths return.

well i know we decided Jan. would be our next meet, since late dec. might be hard for some people to make it, i i think we should TRY to come up with a set date and time, so that people can "plan" on it.

this is what we have so far:

DATE...
Early Janurary.

TIME...
8:00 A.M. (i think we all decided earlyer was going to be better)

PLACE...
the meet will be in the area of fontana or so..... nothing set in stone, but we thought we should meet on the other side of San Bernardino this time (last two were in redlands, and Yucaipa.

DRIVE...
and the run will be in the Upland area? (is this right ricco)

LUNCH...
undetermind, ( i do not know that area.... this is up to you ricco)

you need to just give into the temptation and go with the GTB100. then you will be satisfied...... youll have a grenade under your hood, but youll be happy!

na, the 66 is about the right turbo for the boost level and hp i want. the 62 is pushed too far to the right of the efficiency range.

So there's another meet in January in Fontana? Cool, I should be able to make that, as long as my upgrades go smoothly. I wish I would've known about the meet last Saturday, Dave and I have made the 243/74 run before and thats a fun fun road...

Just so you all know, here is a link to the RX-8 club web post that i also have going on about the exact same thing.
http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.ph...d=1#post635361
as of right now, we are talking about how the run we are thinking about doing is going to have to be a tenative thing, due to weather conditions at this time of year. you all might want to read it every once in a while. you dont have to leave any comments, (that can be done here) but it does keep you all in the loop as to what is being said over there about this same subject!
