naw, just the stock hydraulics weren't meant to be used with heavy pressure plates. luckily, i've pretty much mastered driving without the clutch.

 

lol.......yeah, me and speeddemon are pretty good at synchro-shifting now (weve blown enough trannys and clutches to last us a lifetime)..... anyways..... hope to see you there...

i got the front mount intercooler installed (just the intercooler, nothing else..) its an intercooler off of a mitsu lancer evolution 8, its friggin huge..... im taking the car to a local muffler shop, and they are gonna do the rest of the install....

that was a good meetup........ we had 6 cars show up..
-yellow rx-8 (speeddemon32)...... (gotta love the navigation system)
-silver rx-8 (riccio)....... (nicest rx8 ive ever seen in person....EVER)
-red fd rx-7 (scotty305).... (ITS A FD... what else can i say)
-black fc rx-7 turbo2 (guitarjunkie28).. (400+ hp fc, WOW, love the wastegate)
-white fc rx-7 na (zero83)..(better luck nexttime, j/k, nice save!!)
-orange fc rx-7 turbo (me/vipers).... (well, its me, so, .............................)

we drove up to banning and got on the ??243?? (i think thats the highway) we didnt get crazy or anything (well, except one of us.... you know who you are..lol)... but it was a lot of fun.. there will be pics posted as soon as scotty or speeddemon log in....

i hope the next meet will be this fun if not better.... maybe more people will start showing up (although 6 cars was plenty)

we are thinking the next meet will be the second or third week in january due to the holiday season, so we will figure it out and keep everyone posted!!!

Thank you GutarJunkie, Ricco, Zero, Scotty305, and Vipers for showing up, I had a lot of fun. lunch was nice to! it was cool to sit down and just talk to everyone. and after Zeros little mishap, it was nice to give him a little hell about it. (ill let Zero or vipers tell the story if they choose, as i was WAY ahead of them.... te he he)

Seriously though, my camera picks up a lot of those 'lens flares' , I think it's got something to do with it being generally crappy when it comes to the other details (such as weird lighting and high-motion).

damn straight im an internet nerd...lol.... i speend 10 llooonnnnggg hours here at work, so my escape is the internet....... hey, people say the first step to fixing you problem is to admit you have a problem!!! hi, my name is jesse, and im an internet junkie!! ... whew, that felt good!!

 

Well it was a real good meet. That was until the downhill run. Well i guess i'll tell the story of my exciting moment. First off trying to keep up with a couple of 8's and a FD on crappy tires is not very smart. I lost it on the way down but I managed not to hit anything but ended up facing the opposite direction. Then to top it off the engine flooded so I was stuck in the center of a 2 lane mountain road. Luckily vipers was in back of me and helped me get the car onto the side of the road.(thanks to speeddemon and vipers for the help)

 

not a problem ........ thats what friends are for!!! im just glad nobody got hurt, and no paint was exchanged with the mountain (unlike my escapade w/ a chair on the first run)... all in all, there was some pretty good driving that went down, considering the road conditions!!

but dont feel too bad zero, i did the same exact thing w/ my 88 gtu on newport st.!! except i spun so long i flat spotted all four tires and blew one of them!! but i also managed to get away w/ no body damage (well, no more than was already there.... speeddemon knows...lol )

you were like the little train that could......... except you couldnt... lol j/k, actually, we kept with those cars pretty good!!

 

Ill try and make the next one man its far heh.

if im not mistaken, we are gonna have the next meet closer to your location...... i think it will be a little past ontario (but not sure)... and from ontario, yucaipa is only like a 20-30 min drive

 

luckily, i got stuck behind some ******* going like 4 mph the whole way down...safe trip for me. gotta pay tags and get that turbine seal on monday, but i'll be damned--car didn't smoke a bit the rest of the day!

 

nice to see you made it back safely. hope to see you at the next meet, i wouldent mind checking out your car a little mroe then i did this time. looks like you got some nice stuff. we didnt really get a chance to chat much.
