Any RX7 specialist shops in bay area, CA?
My first post in this section.
I am getting so burnt on working on my car I am about to give up. I might decide to have a shop do some of the dirty work if there is an expert.
I probably need my oil pan gasket done, and possibly my rear main seal.
Closest place to San Mateo is preferred.

Thanks NoRotor,
I can send someone out to do a house call if you have an engine lift and indoor garage to work in.
This requires removing your transmission and 1 engine mount.
Then lifting the motor the taking the pan off, cleaning off gasket/sealant and oil pan. Reinstalling it.Also installing the rear seal then putting the engine mount back on and dropping/bolting the motor and transmission back in.
$600 done at your home $550 at my place.

Ah the oil leak isnt as bad as I thought. The engine would be the best investment if i end up keeping the car. Thats what will probably happen, only a couple people have some to look at it.
So from my research im seeing something like a bill of $3000 for a rebuilt motor including installation. Tough pill to swallow.
Wonder if it would end up the same price for a V8 swap.. LOL..

But you'll still need other things such as EMS, fuel, motor mounts(i have), and turbo setup.

the quote below is from The Shop in San Bruno, near SFO. I have most of the stuff I am too lazy/don't understand done there on my FD. They do good work. I am not sure if they are around this week, I think they went to SEMA.

I pretty much have my decision made, I dont know if it was mentioned here. I got a few quotes which were all between $1450-$1650. So it wasnt the price, its a combination of the close location, reputation of the shop, how long they been doing Mazda, and the expertice they showed me when discussing my estimate.
I'll probably be going to PR Motorsports after talking to Laura.

I'm very close to removing my for sale ad. I love the car more every day of driving it. I'm learning how to drive it quicker as I get used to it. The LSD is really fun also. I actually heard that the 13B doesnt usually get super tired, it either works or it breaks. Mine has very good power in my opinion, but I have nothing to compare it to. It can spin up the tires easily when going around corners and stepping into it. It doesnt smoke at all either, and uses no oil I can see so far.
