1988 Mazda rx7 turbo story..(and help needed)

hey guys, i have a question here and its for a 88t2.. i got the car a few months back off a friend, and the car has been floating around for about what umm.. five years now unregister at all.. so i've been wanting to get this baby back on the road.. with only $250buXs left after talking it out with the DMV.

most of the car is alright.. interior, was grey with some crement that was already mixed in the back hatch area.. so with alot of work cleaning it up scraping it. sprayed the whole car floor a solid flat black color.. front area urgg.. everything was cracked broken, some previous owner had re-wired their own ignition key(weird), switches etc.. so i tore everything up, went to local junk yard got parts that i needed, got some parts from members off the fourms and so on.. as of now i got a black interior(thanks dana "Rotary Racer") and its almost in the car now completly.. all key holes/lock was changed over from my gtu, the old ones hardly worked and plus the ignition key had its own little key that looks like a pocket lock key sorta of thing..

the exterior's black too so that was good.. dinged up here an there, but body wise over all is still sorta straight... got it lifted up and checked/inspected underneath.frame wise looks good.. exterior wise got two white s5gtu doors off my old s5gtu(due to accident) since the orginal black doors off was dented rusted.. white s4 turbo2 side skirt oem i guess or thats what the guy told me when i got em, the 88' sunroof was rusted, well starting to rust; plus it hardly worked so i slaped my gtu sunroof on.. lols.. plus my gtu white s5 rear spoiler.. added my old white s5 rear bumper too as well.. since the s4 rear bumper looks ugly to me personally.. and for the front bumper i got a black s5 at a junk yard for only $30buXs.. so i was happy with that.. paint and condition of the front bumper was still pretty nice, still had a glossy black to it..

engine wise the engine bay looks alright.. lols.. so far got the a/c off, with it being a dead beat. power steering is out or soon to be, got a manual rack sitting and waiting. but hahaa.. still got the air pump in, cause i still need to do smog of course!!. soon too since im going to be getting her on the road.. just recently got the LIM hooked up cause the old one was damage and long story short with that i just replaced the LIM.. replaced gasketS and hoses here and there along with alot of vacuum hoses.. alot of hoses was cracked, loose or broken.. water pump was leaking so i did a temp repair with the old pump and stuck some rtv on it. and it worked..yEess!!..

after all that she was ready to be fired up.. and i read some article of atf in the leading plug and how it was to help after the car hasn't been started in awhile.. but i asked "Karack" and he recommended two cycle or 2 stroke and yea, i went with his commendation and she fired right up.."Karack" explained the good and badd of atf and what it can also do, so thanks alot "karack" if your reading this THUMBS UP!!

im from marysville orginally (an hour north of sacramento) and im in the bay area for school.. working from 8am-5:30pm, school from 6;00pm to 10;00pm.. mon-fri work somtimes on sat.. and with so little time on my hand i still drive up north(home) a three to four hour trip on a good ride with no traffic getting out of the bay.. i get about a days work on the car or even a few hours only somtimes. and yep alot of love and dedication, some thanks for my older brother too chue 'aka_rocket'(86 n/a present owner, and 87t2 in the process) for helping me with researching since i don't have much time on my hand..

and finally the question/problem, i've encounter with the t2.. i haven't really had much time spent with her, so i haven't looked much into the car with its problem and hands on with visually inspecting her.. BUT!! here it goes.. On cold start she starts fine idling at 3000rpm(typical and normal) drops slowly and idles fine just right on 900-800rpm.. but when she get hot or at operating temperature its alot harder to get her started.. she cranks struggle trying to start, somtimes catches and start.. after first start, usually i crank the car with the fuel pump d/c for a few times. With cranking and right when it catches and start i just quickly re/c the fuel pump and she runs fine.. so my question is on a cold start/first start, she starts fine idle fine. but when she's started/warmed its just alot harder to get her started or even to just start.. i've tried searching and reading back on alot of articles some with good knowledge that can be of some use too..

maybe you guy may have encounter this and know what could be it.. im still in the bay for school now.. as for the weekday, and im going home this weekend. just wondering what could be wrong without me getting to test or check any of this out.. im guess the fuel pump or so.. AHEM* some help or any help would be apperciated guys.. thanks, AND!!! of course pictures will be posted soon or that is im hoping!!. so stay posted..

jeff
