My condolences to his family as well. I was supposed to help him out at the shop on the weekend but couldnt make it because of my shitty work schedule. I was going to call him in a while when I just got the news. I didnt know him for too long but we could say we were friends. He will be missed by all.

I'll post this over here too:
Wow this is terrible terrible news. I'd chat with dave every once in a while and he was really a great guy and he gave a lot to the rotary community. I'm still in shock that I've read this. My prayers go out to his family and friends. He will be missed.
....just wow

This really sucks, Dave is the only person ever to have worked on an Rx7 I owned (other than myself). He really knew his stuff, and he was a cool guy. I was really looking foreward to having him do some more work on my car, mostly because he's a cool guy to hang out with, he even rolled me some of those sweet hand rolled ciggs.
I certainly didn't know him well, but he was a stand up guy and my condolences go out to his family.

This is terrible news. So young, so much potential ahead of him. I've been to his place in Hisperia, he's been to my place, I've been to his El Monte shop several times. Always willing to share advise.
Those that know him know that he was always in some level of pain over that bum leg of his. At least he is no longer suffering.
A real personality in our Wankle community. He surely will be missed.
Just terrible news.

This is a huge loss to the rotary community.
Does anybody have any pictures of Dave's work? I think a picture would be nice to see so everyone can appreciate the incredible work he did.

Goodbye Dave.
I've met him on several occasions and sold him a few things over the years. He was a stand up guy and well respected in the rotary community, as most of you already know.
He will be missed.
My brother was killed in a head-on collision driving his 1st gen RX-7. Passing a big-rig and ran out of room.
He was 23 and is missed everyday.
Goodbye Aaron.
I just lost another very good friend and fellow rotorhead, Jury Swanson, 3 weeks ago. On this forum, sirjury was his username. Didn't post much but he knew his **** better than 99% of people on this forum. Trained by Jim Mederer. He was my go to guy. I'll be getting his 3-rotor fd back on the road in his memory if things work out with his family.
