It's the Centennial paint job which is just to celebrate 100 years kinda like a birthday milestone and only a few aircraft have it. The MH-60, MH-65, HC-144, and HC-130 all have a different centennial paint jobs as well! The 130,if you have time to google it, reminds me of a hot dog lol.
Here is some exciting news: An updated veteran badge for the Canadian Forces was rolled out earlier today! This updated banner should automatically replace the old banner. The new banner features a maple leaf with "CF" inside the white boarder.
It will look like this: New Canadian Forces veteran banner.
The above is a full list of veteran banners.

USAF Veteran banner added to your profile. I also updated your tenure status to reflect your 5 year membership. Thank you for serving in the Air Force and for your 5 years of support in the RX7Club.
You are very welcome and congrats on owning an FD. Let's turn those years of lurking into years of posting! Please share a pic of your FD. Where did your travels in the USAF take you?
Navy Veteran banner added. I also updated your RX7Club tenure status. You now have the 5yr Tenure Badge. Thanks for sharing your photo from Fleet Week NYC. Most importantly, thank you for serving in the Navy.
What do you do at the War College? And that's in Newport, right?

Thank you!!! Wasn't Fleet week but that pic is from NYC; it was just a 4 day port visit for fun. Had a blast and don't even remember meeting Pooh! Lol.
I work in the Protocol & Events Department at NWC and am in charge of Transportation on many different levels. It's working out of rate but, much preferred over sea Duty (which I have a lot of).
You certainly had a great time in NYC if you don't remember meeting Pooh! lol.
I see that you were on the Cole, I'm assuming it was well after its repairs. How was your tour on it?
She was part of the GW battle group in 2000, and was 2 weeks behind the GW (CVN-73). I distinctly remember watching the news in my squadron spaces when she took the hit. We just crossed the ditch days earlier.
Good to hear you are enjoying time at NWC. Newport is a great base!

Also, do I not have access to the "Classified" section or is it not a thing anymore? I sold my FD in 2018 and since I'm about to retire, my wife gave me the green light to buy another one as a retirement gift. I'm in the market but it has to be the right one and of course, the right price! Lol. Thanks again.

Cole was 100% my favorite tour! Did 6 years there from 2002 - 2008. Checked aboard October 2nd 2002 and she was only a few months being out of Pascagoula from being repaired. Lots of original crew members were still there as well as purple hearts.
Anyone who was on board from 12 OCT 2000 thru 15 DEC 2002 received the Navy Expeditionary Medal. My favorite ribbon in my stack BY FAR! We were the last Sailor's to receive that medal and it's coming up on 20 years ago. Man I miss that crew!
I come from a big Navy Family:
*Dad 26 Years Retired ENC, 2 tours in Nam
*Brother Joey 5 years, Left as an EN2
*Brother Emmanuel 9 years total as a PC2 and Medical logistics Specialist in the Army.
*Brother Michael 19 years an SH and 1 year as an RS (rate changed names). Retired in March of this year.
*Sister Christine 2007 - current is a LCDR Navy Nurse and Dept Head of Labor and Delivery. Earned her Doctrine in DEC 2019 at Emory University.
That's a very proud history of Naval service in your family. That's kick-***!
I'm retired since 2016. So please enlighten me, what rate is an RS now? What was wrong with Ship's Serviceman? Oh wait...was it because "man" was in the title? Was that during the time when the Navy had no rates? The enlisted personnel were just Petty Officer, etc.

Awesome! Thank you for your service as well! Im really looking forward to retirement. Well, more like starting my next career!
They changed the name of our rate because they wanted all supply rates to "Match". CS, LS, and now RS. We still do all the same stuff but they took one aspect of our rating in 2019 and just decided to call us "Retail Services Specialists".
I remember when I used to be MS, SK, PC, DK, and SH. Now there it's only CS, LS, and RS. Time for me to get out! Lol!
You are very welcome, and thanks for the kind words.
That is an interesting fact about the supply rates. Now that you mention it, those rates all "line up". So Retail Service Specialists, huh? I wouldn't have guessed that!
Enjoy the blue and gold banner and please let us know when you find the right FD!
