everything is still packed from the move as far as FD lights go... hoping to resume building them within the next two weeks I still have tons of equipment to move still and this workspace is smaller than the last. Right now I'm trying to get the FC lights done and out so I have space to resume the FD lights.

Here's the short version (I also sent you a PM a few minutes ago):

Basically we lost our workshop in CA in late december. At that point all of the FD headlights had to be packed and moved. Finding a new shop and moving all the parts took quite some time, and unfortunately the space of the new place is much smaller than the last one. Since there are so many headlights for the FD GB we need all the available benchtop space to build the FD lights, but unfortunately the FC HID GB (which preceeded the FD GB) must be completed to make room for the vast number of FD lights which will take up every square inch of workspace. We're aiming to have the FC lights done in the next couple weeks and can then resume the FD lights which are about half way through the modification process.

I'll update the waiting list now with all the new adds. If you guys could keep the buying and selling of spots outside the GB thread that would be really great... there is enough confusion without introducing the re-selling or swapping of currently held spots . I don't mind the swaps but I'd like to keep it out of the thread. Also keep in mind when swapping, some people are international, may have RHD sets, or you may BE international and WANT a RHD set swapped for a LHD set. All RHD sets are special orders and swapping from one beam pattern to another means we have to order another set of projectors to replace the current ones (which costs significantly more), and then stick those on a shelf. I only mention it because it has come up multiple time... so far we've allowed it but I would REALLY like to avoid that situation. Thats just a general note to everyone.

I believe it wouold be very easy to keep the buying and selling of spots outside the group buy thread if we simply finished the lights on timely basis

 

Well, the buying and selling of spots is fine as long as it's kept to a post or two in the thread, and then handled via PM (or the For Sale section) after that. There is a large "wanted" list, so for anyone that can not endure the wait, it's a loss-less way to get out.

As far as completion of the lights is concerned, there were many problems that arose which were completely out of our hands. Add to the fact that this is a small 2 person business (which we do on the side of our normal lives) for a niche car market. These lights take a ton of space, and a massive amount of physical labor per set. I know what it feels like to anxiously await products from GB's on this forum, and it drives me crazy too, but unfortunately the time estimates for these things are typically vastly off. Had we not experienced the setbacks that occurred, we would have definitely finished by now.
