Yeah the only reason. This one is coming with a switch is because the hole was too small and one opening it up the Dremel skipped and cut too wide so I Ipock seat the switch in place. I just sold one to another member that did not have any switches in it. I have the size down perfect now I just have to remodel the clips back to what I had before

If anyone is interested, I have two that have broken clips as the redefined dimensioning was too aggressive.

50$ for cup holder with switches
40$ for blank RX-7 panel

Both of these panels would have to be glued in place as their clips were broken when being trial fitted. The downfall of this is that it would take some creative thinking to figure out a way to remove the center console after gluing these panels in place.

Absolutely. Going to mess around with the model and get another panel ordered.

My next possible venture is gauge pods. The one I designed is a first trial but it came out sweet. It would be able to mount anywhere flat and it holds all wiring inside. It's two piece in design which is the tough part with 3-D printing, but I'll keep ya'll updated on that front as well!

Gauge pod idea

Hey guys, also would like to gauge interest in these gauge pods! Super sleek and clean! I made this particular one to fit my ProSport gauge like a glove and if I could get accurate measurements of other gauges I might be able to make it more universal. Here are some photos!

This version was very sleek and thin, the next prototype will be a bit thicker and much more durable. It is a two piece design where the idea is to mount the gauge pod, mount the gauge, run the wires through the hole in the bottom and cap the back.

My favorite part is that its tiny and can be mounted almost anywhere, and no wires show!

Let me know thoughts!

I like your cup holder, i have a vert though and i don't think it would be possible to accommodate the headrest speaker switches.

How about a gage pod that would replace the drivers side demister triangle vent?

That's what mine is, it was designed to fit on top of a de mister delete I got on eBay. Quality part too. Fit like a glove.

The speaker switch I can accommodate by making a special panel to house it. Originally I had one, it was for a suspension switch. This was before I knew about the speaker switch. PM me please because I can accommodate you very easily.

Still interested in this. I hate only being able to buy drinks with caps at the corner store so they can be shoved between my seat and center console and not spill. Lol

These have NOT died. School took over and getting a job. However, my latest sample just shipped this morning. Hoping that I can FINALLY open the store. The last ones were good, but the clips eventually broke during fatigue testing.

I have re-activated my facebook. If you guys are part of the RX7 group on there its pretty active and my cupholders are there as well.

I hate to keep saying IF IF IF, but IF these samples are good, i have about 5 or 6 models, plus my horn button, plus the switch blanks, and soon to come FC mini ipad dash mounts and gauge pods on the way!

Hello again. It was brought to my attention that the parts in my “store front” had failed to print. I have worked with Shapeways to correct the issue and I can assure you they are now 100% good to go. I apologize for anyone who has looked the past week and could not order their products!

https://www.shapeways.com/designer/FC_RX7

For those who care the error was found in the font/font size I selected to put my logo on the backside of the cup. They have points and the points were registered as “too thin to print” by their automated design checker. This was the only issue and it has now been taken care of!
