What's the difference?
LS1 into an FC vs. LS1 into an FC convertible... Is it basically the same deal? I checked in the second gen section, and Icemark said the front subframe is different.
I am probably going to be able to get a pretty good deal on a 'vert, so I would rather go with that. Anyone?

The subframes are different, but only different in the fact the 'vert has the mounting tabs for the crossbrace.
Halmc on Torquecentral has an LT1 in his 'vert and tons of pictures to share of the prcess.
You can ditch the brace altogether, or fab up one to clear the oil pan if it does interfere.

Cool. Now, what did you do about the front sway bar? Owen told me he just moved the mounting for it, and I know RETed sells custom bars for $500. How did you handle it?
I did't have to do anything about my swaybar. I'm runing a Suspension Techniques upgraded bar and it's close, but not touching my timing cover. A stock swaybar has a TON of clearance.
Of course, this is all LT1 stuff.
Granny's sells a relocating set that relocates the swaybar down from the frame a short distance.
