v8 in an rx7

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if a 350 and a t-5 would fit right into an rx7 without modification.

by modification I meant would I have to cut anything to accomidate a different engine and transmission. I know I will have to have many modifications, I know the motor will fit, my only concern is with the tranny, would I have to do any cutting to fit the shifter in? I ask because I recently built a motor for my Trans Am and put a t-56 in it to accomidate higher torque loads, I don't wanna have to buy another one for my rx7 too.

1st Gen, 2nd Gen, or 3rd Gen? Carb or FI? What tranny? What are you asking about cutting?

A 350 in an FC (with any tranny) requires cutting out the factory transmission mounts. Some radiator kits require cutting the factory radiator mounts, most carbs will require hood modifications, as will TPI. All of this information is available via the SEARCH button as well...
