has anyone put a 327, 350, or a 302 in their rx7. if so did you did the fab work yourself or use a company like granny's speed shop cause i am going to do a v8 swap but not sure which motor to put in it. and whether i should make my own stuff or just get it from a company like grannys speed shop.

Move this to the other engine swaps section. Hopefully you change your mind a go back to the rotary engine.

You should get the kit.

A small block ford (302 ect.) is the simplest swap.

i'd say the chevy is the easiest. with a low rise distributor it will fully clear everything and you don't even have to touch the crossmember. the ford swaps you have to remove the crossmember and flip it, which is honestly a pain in the aaaassss. i've done both! plus with the chevy setup it's easier to run a T5 transmission. just get the grannies clutch slave adaptor to run the stock mazda slave and boom, done. still gotta use the wilwood master but that isn't any trouble.

both swaps are great, but the chevy is truly much muuuuch easier. i've done a few now

350 or what size motor? i would want a 5 speed too. How does it perform since you have done a couple of the swaps?

I never touched the crossmember in my Ford 302 swapped FC. I spent $20 on mount materials, too.

Yeah, I cut a small hole in the hood for the air cleaner. But it was super easy.
