Thoughts on a l98 swap.

I really want to build a v8 in a small car. I found a good deal on a 86 vette with the l98 5.7. What is your feedback on this swap. I can get whole car for $2500 but was rear-ended.

Thanks

That same money would get you an LS i believe, the L98 would need some serious workin' to get up to that level so ask yourself if it's really worth the build-up. also, what chassis?

That would be the question yes your first question should be "what do I want to do with this car?"

Well that's a very versatile chassis, what do you want to do with it and what's your budget?

Well then get a kit and get at it but what are you building it into? If you can't answer that then you could lose direction on the build...

You can do a 5.3 engine/LS1 intake from a truck from what I've gathered it's a lot cheaper and almost as good as a LS1.also from what I seen you have to change the oil pan and front accessories, and auto trans for cheap.
