when someone asks, "what kit are you using?" of course i tell them, i'm not keeping that to myself. if they want to buy it, whatever, that's on them.
if they want to go with hinson's, cool, i've heard nothing but good things from the people using their kits for X amount of thousands of miles.
if they want to go with your cradle that you are now producing, i suppose, then so be it. i will not go to any extent in pushing them towards other suppliers.

eh! jk!

You posted that you had gotten the wrong adapter plates, so I asked a legitimate question... with only ONE LS1 kit for the FD offered by Grant, how did you get the "wrong" adapter plates?

(pics were taken with my sidekick, so don't expect much - both pics from the right side)
i can't find the original plates or pics of it. but my dad and i were going to modify the originals the same as to the ones that are on right now. but i called grant, showed him some pics of what was going on and sent me some other plates at no charge and those were the missing piece.

yeah dude, if you have any pics, i'd like to see them.
that's good that you have people near you willing to help you with the wiring, better thank them, not everyone has that blessing!

92 Mazda 929 / Getting and LS1 swap too
Hi,
Just new to this RX-7 Owners Club, I own a custom 96 MX-3, a 93 RX-7, and a 92 929, 06 Chevy HHR. My 929 3.0L V6 has spun a main bearing and it is not worth fixing. I have purchased a 1998 corvette with LS1 engine in it, the corvette was hit hard in the rear of the car, and I picked it up cheap from corvette central in Toronto, Canada. Engine only has 70,000KM.
I’ve contracted Granny's Speed shop and spoke to Grant, and told him of the project I’m doing to my 929. I’ve asked if they could build a custom sub frame like the one for the 7's. They said for 1000.00 U.S. they would make me ONE. But I have to remove my sub frame and power steering, and send it to them fitting purposes.
Does any one think a LS1 would work all right in a 929?
Has any every heard of such a swap ever attempted? I would really like here your views.
Thanks,
Barry
