Information Regurgitator
There is an Other Engine Conversions section of the forum that would probably have some discussions on it. Also will be more hospitible to the idea than in here. Hinson Supercars has kits for the LS1 but a quick glance of thier site didn't show anything for the Lt-1. Granny's may have something.

Both sites have faqs that kind of give you an idea of how involved the conversion is, and what engines will fit

The LT-1 is a good choice, the LS-1 is better but costs more. Some guys prefer the 5.0 ford...its really a matter of opinion. Im in High Point NC and have a LT-1 FB if you want to see how it fits/drives. I also can prepare your harness, not as simple as you may think. Its your car you get to decide what engine you like best. Guys that are calling names etc etc just because your installing a V8 have some serious maturity issues. Its your car you can decide to light it on fire if you want and anything some kid posts here wont change your mind. If you go with a LT-1 I can, and would be happy to help you,Shawn

I'd say LS1, the LT1 in my Camaro is nothing but headaches. That car is even more of a money pit than the FC. The Opti-spark is definitely no bueno

The opti sparks are a PITA no doubt. I call em opticraps. The good thing is MSD makes a reliable replacement..once you fork over the cash its good for quite a while. The second good thing is its a lot easier changing a opti in a RX-7 compared to a camaro. I have had mine out several times and can easily change it in 20 minutes now. The LT-1's are not easy to troubleshoot, they can be fussy. Mine has made me angry several times now. I finally replaced all my sensors and its been reliable since. You can source good buys online for the TPS,IAC,02 and knock sensors. I found a good deal on my LT-1,I wanted a LS-1 but it was too expensive.
