a) its not that hard (i was suprised many times along the way how smoothly everything went)
b) yes its damn reliable. ls1's have a life expentancy upwards of 200k miles (stock anyway). they arent really old enough to go much further. maybe someone knows the highest mileage unopened ls1 out there?
