if youve got 8k, sell your tII for 5k then buy a Corvette....then you'll have an LS1

or spend 5k on a turbo/porting setup that will POUND THE **** out of a V8

seriously though, you might find some info on this in the tech and performance section, or try a search this comes up all the time

OH - BTW, don't go trumpeting an LS1 swap around the forums too much, you're talkin' to rotor heads hear.....

I am looking to do the exact same thing. I am still in research mode myself!

http://grannysspeedshop.com/ is a really good site and so is hinsons site.

I think you can do the swap for 8k...considering you already have the 88.

forget the haters. the ls1 has way more potential than the 13b

J/k

but seriously (this goes for everyone) read before you go spouting off misinformation that you read on dumb ricer forums.

you mean WITCH and HUNT

personally with the 8 grand you have you could probably get away with a low budget LS1 swap, or be able to do a decent LT1/LT4 swap with a couple mods.

people have had difference of opinions about grannys speed shop, but hinson is a sure thing, they are very attentive to thier customers and the quality of thier product. before you set your mind on anyone thing do some more research and find which swap will work best with your budget.

Like I said it was about 7k including car, engine/tranny, and all parts. That was with me building the car though and I was able to sell a decent bit of parts from both the RX-7 and the Camaro I got the engine from.
