Apparently, I'm not getting through to you.

The plan is to cut the middle (including the carb pad) out of the carb intake and weld a box-style plenum in its place. Something like this...

Shorter in the back, shorter in the front. Lots of clearance.

How do you think this would affect air/fuel distribution? Since the intake was originally designed for top induction, do you forsee any issues with uneven distribution converting it to a front entry plenum? Just a thought, Im sure you've thought of it if it were an issue.

Did you miss the part where he said he'll be stuffing the plenum with a hair dryer?

No. It will be extremely similar to my Hogan's intake, which seemed to work pretty damn well.

And as Drew mentioned, I'll be shoving the air down its throat.

I think it's a much better solution than turning the intake around, cutting a hole through the firewall, mounting an IC where the passenger's seat was, and calling it a street car...

In an engine bay with a lot more room. It's also boost limited for lack of intercooling.

My cradle (which is a complete replacement and doesn't require a core) looks like this (LT1 version shown, LSx is similar). Big difference in workmanship and quality.

That's gorgeous.

[QUOTE=trinydex;7024003]as long as the height of the motor remains unchanged (and it isn't because you're using the same subframe right? and it has the same level mounting holes) the cg as defined by what cg is not changed. cg is defined in terms of distance from the ground and distance from the roll center. this doesn't change with transverse movements.[quote]

The center of gravity is a point in the mass that the mass may be rotated about in any way without losing its balance. It is a not a plane.

The seesaw is an accurate depiction of a simplified scenario.

I see the LS series of engines has failed you in naturally aspirated power output. Is it true that youll be resorting to forced induction to increase your HP/L?

Jim, I remember in your other thread you were selling the LT1 engine. Have you sold it already?

I'm not trying to sound like a dick...but what have you done/or do that will give you some credibility behind what your saying. This argument between you two i've seen little more than your opinion and single sided comments behind jim's facts and evidence to support his comments. I mean Jim is JimLab....he has a following and is responsible for the education of alot of people in the FD community as well as engine building community. Who are you? I see some kid (only 5 months younger than me trying to argue with a seasoned vet on who knows more...yes i am college educated and still working for more degrees)

Perhaps you can explain to me how your theory that horsepower per liter is the sole indicator of the quality of an engine's design is a lesson of any type, let alone one concerning physics? I've seen no mathematical proof, no supporting documentation, and not once have you mentioned BSFC.

It's an opinion, it's your opinion, and unfortunately for you, not too many people share your opinion. Perhaps you can find someone as ignorant as you are and brainwash them. Then you'd have two believers, and you could form a club or something.

I see the LS series of engines has failed you in naturally aspirated power output.
How has it "failed" me? Naturally aspirated, the LSx platform will exceed anything that a naturally aspirated rotary engine -- even a 4-rotor -- can produce, despite it's higher horsepower per liter ratio. The same goes for forced induction.

As I've said many times before, and I'm sure I'll have to repeat it again, horsepower per liter doesn't win races.

I wanted to hears jim's oppinion on it but he decided to be a dousche instead so i followed suit. FFR ill just not say anything. Its his thread anywyas. ******* *******.
That's "douche", you stupid ****.
