Hinson or Grannys?
Doing the ls1/t56 swap into a 87 TII. Was just trying to get imput from people that have used both of these kits and see which one is easier and more cost efficient.

it's all up to you man. i believe they are (someone correct me if i'm wrong) about the same price for just the mounting stuff (of course it'll be more with cooling, etc), but hinson will take a bit longer with production - which i don't think you should mind since it is a time consuming swap. from what i understand, hinson is good quality and so is granny's for the TII conversion, so it really is your call.
have you started on your tear-down? post some pictures, i'm thinking that after my LS1 FD swap, i'll pick up a TII and start another amazing swap on that. so some pictures would be cool, good luck

I posted the same question on torquecentral, I'm going with granny's now. Everyone had a good experience using their stuff and its a good price. I haven't even looked at hinson. I think hinson is more expensive though. Do a search for granny's conversion kit on torquecentral in the v8 rx7 forum and you'll find my post.

^I'm sure you can buy the part straight up and pay the core charge, but when you turn in a stock subframe I would imagine it would cost a good deal less.
I would honestly just flip a coin.
I would honestly just flip a coin.

Then grannys would be a little less time consuming considering you don't have to sned anything back to them really. I'm not sure if I'm going to do the swap myself or drop the car off at speed fetish in houston, they quoted me a $1400 installation out the door and I don't really have any automotivly smart friends to really help with the swap, pretty much a hand me that wrench guy would be most of the help I'de get. And I will post pics reguardless when the swap gets underway, the rotory still kinda runs, but horribly. Actually seeing if there are any other motors I would be more interested in that would be more fitting my budget. Any ideas?
