FC->LT1 - What's Necessary, what's not?
I'm definitely doing a piston conversion this summer, as I'm sure I'll be bored and I'll have plenty of spare time. However, I do not have the greatest amount of money (about $4000) to spend on this piston swap. I shopped around and I can pull a good-condition LT1 with a T56 for about $1900.
My question is: Exactly what is necessary?
I was thinking of buying from Hinson Supercars, but thats seems like an awful lot to pay...
Is the fuel system necessary for all V8 conversions?
Do I NEED the radiator (I will be autocrossing the car)?
How off is the speedometer, and is this necessary?
I was just wondering how much or how little I can do for the swap, so I can determine just how much money I need.

Which supplier would you guys buy from, Granny's or Hinson Supercars? I've been throwing around prices and Hinson's stuff is about $500 more expensive in total...

Yeah, because I read that sticky, I'm now pretty set on getting the kit and parts that I need from Hinson, as opposed to Granny's. In my opinion, it's worth the extra dollars.
