Engine Swap

Do you guys look down on people who swap to a vette engine, or buy a fc or fd with a vette engine

Well lets just say that we are limited in our ability to help or relate to the problems or situations you might encounter with a swapped engine. there is another section in this forum for different engines - you might have more luck with that.

No, but I do look down on swapping the 3-cylinder out of a Geo Metro into a FC or FD.

I haven't done it myself but I am looking for a FC, and I can't decide if I want a ls1, or a rotary turbo2

if you are looking for somewhere to get the parts go to grannyspeedshop.com (i think thats what it is).

and Idk...I like rotary engines and just shake my head at people who do these swaps. A guy i was talking to a while back was talking about how he was tired of the rotary engine and was going to get a car with a SR20...I was about ready to kick him swiftly in the NUTS!!!

*edit* welll, it looks like the man himself already beat me to it. Really, it's not a bad swap, per se.... but if you're debating between a 13BT and an LS1, I'd say go for the 13BT. If you get more serious about, there's a section of the forum, I believe called "other engine swaps," many of which are LS-series engines.

Actually, I don't think we look down. We mostly look at them from the back.

this has been happening a lot in this section. people making random threads to get their 10 posts.

maybe the forum moderation needs a little refining..?
