Build thread! Action! Danger! A driveway!
Oh lordy, it's been ages but the build is just about to restart. I swapped my Crown Vic daily for an SVT Focus and it was eating all my time and money over the last few months, but I finally have a shipment of more parts coming in from Jegs
prepare to commence the final stages! An update video will happen again when I get the parts and bolt more things together. Didn't know anyone actually was following this thing...

Ok well if you really want pictures...
Hehe I'll put another update vid up when the new shipment gets here, this is only one of a few things I ordered, for some reason it's shipping a day later than the other parts.

Well I made a vid of all of 5 pieces that came in, so I would rather just tell all (3?) of you who are still following this build about the recent progress and the restart. As far as what has been done recently, I finally mounted and hooked up the clutch master cyl with the spacer system i need, so now it's ready to rock, though I do need a line to hook it to the pull slave.
Most of the work was to the motor, I finally had my injectors cleaned by a friend who goes to UTI, many thanks to him for doing that for me. Because of that, I could mount the injectors with new O-rings that i grabbed. Once i put a veeeery tiny bit of grease on both rings they slipped right into the rails and right into the LIM. I could then mount a few fittings and get the UIM popped on there. I ran a bunch of water through the mani and jackets backwards to flush out all the crap in there, and now it comes out clean. I was about to pop the new pump on there but it's the wrong one
so now a switch is needed. I also ordered and installed the water temp sensor and air intake sensor. I did a few other odds and ends but this was the major progress so far.
On the way currently is a set of intake gaskets (so finally the TB and EGR spacer can go on), my speed sensor and speedo cable, and a starter, the clutch fork came in the last shipment and that completes the tranny items.
Headers soon
And just so you have an idea of how this is looking thus far:

Well I'm almost to drop-in, getting more things finagled at this point.

Holy jumping jackalopes batman! Can you say horsies?

Interestingly, the pulley i have to use (it's a v-belt design with serpentines O.o) is actually even a bit bigger than the underdrive, so it should work the same way.

Of course. Luckily I have a ghetto-rig in progress on this. Hint: washers :p
I also fashioned a coolant bypass hose out of one of the heater lines and saved 5 bucks, great until i probably need it or something later. In better news, the brand new Jegsy rad is on the way! Tasty, I'm running out of parts I need. Still procrastinating doing wiring work, but it'll happen sooner rather than later.

Now I know you all have been waiting with baited breath to see this beasty completed, and I'll just say that your wait is nearing completion. Wheels, tires, wiring, a few more bolts, and ***** going down...
had to make sure you didn't get crushed under that monster 5.0 block.
Thanks!
I'll have them tomorrow in the daylight, I was going to hold out for a run vid but seeing as (surprisingly) people still care about this build I'll do an up to date vid...
how close are you and what are you building?

it's like a big iron feather
