Well, It's about time this build saw some progress. I've ordered several parts over the past few days but unfortunately the crazy weather here has been delaying everything. I should have some updates with pics sometime next week.

The packaging of the radiator was suprisingly subpar but thankfully everything arrived undamaged.
The packaging has been since been improved with a much heaver duty box...Thanks for mentioning that. There are hard to ship because their close to 50 pound shipping weight not to mention delicacy. I,m glad yours made it undamaged.

No problem man. I'm glad you got it sorted. Those radiators are too nice to get bent up and damaged by some clumsy shipping carrier. Btw has my latest order been shipped yet or is it still being fabbed? I can't wait untill my parts start showing up

What was it that you ordered? I'm sorry I don't remember. I only know what I have to build and where I have to ship it.

Got some more goodies today

DSS aluminum driveshaft and cobra axle kit with 300mm axle shafts. (these bad boys are beefy)

Thanks to Ls1-fd for the hook-up!

Now I have everything I need to put my axles together, just need to remove the large nut holding my stockers in. Does anyone know what size it it?

Thanks man, Your car is actually one of several that helped me decide to go lsx.

I really wanna take this thing to DGRR 2011 but I'm afraid I just don't think I have enough time to get this thing together. But if by some miracle I do It would be nice to see some other LSX fds there.

More parts are on the way so stay tuned

You were told the truth, These WILL NOT fit a stock-bodied FD. I plan to roll AND pull the rears. And I've already ordered some wide fenders for the front

I am in process of replacing my tranny brace bushing...was using the OEM rubber and it got pulverized. Rear tranny seal started leaking tranny fluid on it and basically degraded the rubber.

If you can, I'd rec switching to energy suspension or similar bushing that will hold up more.

Surprisingly, it was no real noticeable difference in noise/vibration.

Just a tip from experience.

Love the wheels too

yeah, sucks. Never seen that happen before but I guess I've never had tranny fluid leak on it either. Amazing how damaging tranny fluid is to rubber.

Did you use Samberg or other?

Also, happen to have a part number for what you used?

^Thanks

I got one axle completed minus the boot clamps. Here it is above the stocker for comparison.

This was a PITA but now that I've done one the other should be a breeze.

Would a LS Rx7 be welcome at DGRR? I was considering driving down but figured it might not be a very welcoming experience.

Looks like you are stocking some pretty sweet parts. I think the next big thing I do to my ls1 car and probably the 20b car when it its done will be the cobra rear end swap. As of now my 1st gear is pretty useless with a t56 and the stock turbo 2 rear end. A set of 3.73s or maybe even 3.55s would be pretty nice. Plus I would get even better gas mileage.
