Picking up a black on black 89 GTUs with a blown motor next week. The LS1/T56 conversion is a go.

Figure I'll have it done sometime in 2007.

Well, when you find a GTUs for under $600, you jump on it. Just thinking about tearing around in a black FC with an LS1 gives me chills. And wood.

Yeah, the second gen guys are gonna **** their pants when they find out it's an LS1 swap. I'm sure they will flame the hell out of me. The only thing that would offend them more would be if it was a 10AE.

You'd need an SA with a GNX engine in it or something, to really irk 'em.

 

lol....i wonder what would happen if i put a 20bt into a corvette. just for $hits and giggles. see if the die hard corvette guys do the same thing people on this forum do. or be a real jackass, and put a 12a into a z06. if i had money i would do it because it would be damn hilarious....then i would get pissed the car took so long to get to 60 and would go back to the ls1

3. I doubt that a lot of people would really care... Maybe if you put a 2jz in the car people would get pissed, but I doubt any LS1 guys would give a bother to be honest. I would like to hope that as long as it is fast, people would like it. Now if you put a 12a in, and put down 110rwhp, you would get laughed out the door.
