4L60E speedo issues

In the process of putting a LT-1 into my 1982 first gem and the speedo issue seems to be the biggest issue so far. Im asking everyone here with a LT-1 what they did to solve this issue. Ive seen many options and none are cheap or easy. The basic problem is the 4L60E puts out a electrocin speedo signal with no provisions for a meachanical speedo drive. Im not explaining further because if you dont follow me already you cant answer my question. I've seen all the options just want to know what people have done and had proven success with. Thanks in advance,Shawn

I had one briefly, I can't remember where I purchased it though. It worked fine while I had it. I swapped to custom gauges, and no longer needed it, as I have an electronic feed speedometer now.

I understand, changed my set up a few times now. I have thought of converting to a electronic speedo as well. Just curious which speedo you chose? Thinking it may be smart to change out the speedo to electronic because most are adjustable. In case I change tire diameter..or switch rear ends. Please let me know,Shawn

JTR makes parts to convert 4L60-E to run speedometer cable. See attached link:

MikeJTR,
Thanks for the link, have read that already though and decided that wasnt the option for me. Just as expensive as converting to a electronic speedo and much more involved. Appreciate you taking the time to post though,Shawn
