I'd bet even w/the Rtek7 1.8 on stock ports & not so big a turbo (i.e., V or H trim) 12's is totally possible w/a good clutch & tires on a cool day!!

You can run a 12 with the stock turbo, I'd aim for 11s with that turbo

The BNR stage 4 will get you into the mid 11's. I ran a 12.1 @ 116 with 18" rims with my BNR Stage 4 at only 13lbs of boost.

If all you want is a high 12, you can do that on a stock turbo...I ran 12.9 @ 106 on a stock turbo and Rtek1.7.

I went 13 flat @ 110 with a slipping clutch with my BNR 3.5. 12's is easily doable. The BNR's don't quite make as much power as most people expect though. They're just easy to install and don't involve much if any custom work. If I had to go back and do it all over again I would have just gone gt 35r.....and popped my motor.

mines some japanese S5 hybrid. my engine was built good when I got it, even had 3mm seals and a toms racing sticker on the chpped ecu, maybe toms racing built the turbo who knows. they use to be a performance shop before they switched to just toyotas

my car dynoed 361whp 309ft-lbs with cleaned up stock ports, and a couple broken corner seals and a 2.5" downpipe @16psi knightsport chip and an AFC Neo,was running 11.8@116, now I rebuilt my engine with a med streetport and EP2a exhaust port , 3"DP it makes an extra psi now so i get 17 dropping to 15 at redline and I have megasquirt now too. I ran 11.42@121.9. its definitely faster

The secret is with the WG and the vacuum source, I have no boost controller .just an adjustable WG actuator, and I run the vacuum source to my UIM it makes the turbo alot more responsive because the wg is being controlled by the pressure in the manifold after the fmic rather than the turbo outlet

now I gave away all my secrets everyone will be going that fast FFS

Get that beast back on the dyno man, gotta update your SIG! You're probably looking at very high 300's or low 400's now.

on the rebuild:
- what apex seals did u decide on? still 3mm?
- did you have the rotor housings resurfaced?
- what's the engine vacuum @ what RPM?

and what effect did porting do as far as what RPM when to shift gear?

thx

well i dynoed my car today . changed plugs before hand redid the timing other day make sure it was dead on ...i made 226whp on 14psi first run , then 245whp and 233 tq on 3rd run at 16psi . the dyno graph was really really smooth all the way up to 7500 . started falling off slowly at 6700 .. car was nice and cool whole time afrs were at 11-12 so im stumped i thought i was gonna be atleast at the 270whp range . no boost leaks car runs good so idk watelse to check i did reground my leading coil pack because i had to move it for the ic piping cars on a rtek 1.8

Are you sure your turbo is a bnr stage 4 ? People could make similar power on a stock turbo imo.

A stage one is suppose to be good for 300'ish hp at the wheels, stage 4 is suppose to be good up to like 400 whp.

You shouldn't be having any problems running up to 300whp if its a stage 4 if u ask me.

Are you running a front mount ? Im not sure what stock intercooler is good up to, but i know hot intake air isnt a good thing and higher boost would cause that.

Idk my dude, you should be making way more power than that if you ask me.

What size exhaust are you running , 3" I'm guessing ?

Really have me stumped as to why the power isnt higher, 300whp should be no problem on your setup.

Was it an allwheel drive dyno? You'd probably get a lower reading on one of those.
