ever heard of the term "dyno queen"?

my brother's evo8 put down 307 awhp on its early stages. and evo9 put down 340 something awhp on the same dyno... when they raced.... my bro beat him pretty bad.

this is common in the racing world

 

Thats what a dyno queen is, it's about who makes the most power, so you can brag.

Well the EVO9 is heavier, and I bet your brother is a better driver.

 

He probably had a better power curve because of mods and tunning it is very possible. Weight and driver aside.. less horsepower vs better build the latter can win, because a car's peak hp is not everything. On the oroginal topic, 250whp on 9 psi with a stock port seems kind of optimistic even with a S5turbo. I can see 11-13 pounds but idk about 9... some dynos can be a little generous and some can be a little stingy so you must be careful and take that into consideration.
