KDR Performance tuned 240rwhp 6 port Stock turbo/ports/etc. and rtek 2.0

Just got back from my first tuning session yesterday with Dave at KDR performance here in PA. We got 240rwhp/237rwtq put down on the dynojet, for our final numbers, at 10psi.

Setup is:
Rtek 2.0
550cc/550cc injectors
FD fuel pump
FMIC
unmolested 6port motor
with portmatched TII manifolds

It was a fun time, and Dave is a great guy, its amazing how much he knows about everything to do with rx7's.

We actually hit 249rwhp at one point when we tried to set the boost to 12 psi(manual boost controller), it ended up spiking to about 16psi and we hit 249, but thats not too safe with my fuel setup hahah.. so we backed it down to 10psi, with some creep to 12psi at 5k, and settling back down at 10psi out to redline.

I'll scan the dyno sheets then and post them up, and my buddy had a video or 2 on his phone.

overall awesome day and im pumped !!

Sounds nice, this is about what i am thinking of possibily doing with my $500 NA rx7.

Either that or sell it or a V8 swap....Which i would rather not do.

How much have you put into it so far?

Lost count... but there are some big $ pieces to think about when planning (that i didnt take into consideration) such as exhaust and rtek ecu -- which was over $1k combined for the both of them -- that i didnt plan on spending. etc.

It was a big learning curve but im glad I went through with it all.

Im building a half-bridge motor in the winter with a GT35r, so im probably selling this entire motor/package around then as a drop in for someone who wants to go Turbo in their NA

If you do end up selling that seup, let me know, i might take it off your hands.

Good work! Impressive. I'll pay attention for the HBP gt35 set up. Should be pretty awesome!

Be sure to post about that car with the fire, i got my own RX7 and just found out when replacing the harness that mine also had a small fire. At this point it looks like the harness andthe pri injectors are the only casualitys. We will see though.

that car is going to have 2 phases...

quick fix to repair the fire damage and clean up some of the useless stuff/emissions from the bay... and make it a functioning s4 NA daily driver.

then its going to be a garage parked project car in the winter for my buddy who hasn't decided which route he wants to go yet (possibly 13b-re)
